Ichiros Malt Chichibu US Edition. Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu The US Edition 2020 is a peated single malt from the Japanese distillery Chichibu. The third release in the Chichibu US Edition series mature in a combination of 10 casks. Bourbon, ex-bourbon, ex-wine and ex-Chibidaru, before being bottle in 2020 at a cask strength of 55.5%. However, The Chichibu distillery is founded in 2007 by Ichiro Akuto, and starts production the year after. Being the first new Japanese distillery since 1973, Chichibu starts a new chapter in Japan’s whisky history. Only 2109 bottles of Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu The US Edition 2020 have been release.

Nose
Strong bubbles, small orange soda! The peat is lighter, even similar to Genting 10. The main notes are metal and sweet citrus, and it seems to be slightly sulfur. One side is rosin, honey, honeydew melon, icing sugar, cream, and the other side is under-ripe virgin olive oil, motor oil, Crude barley sugar, as well as grappa, fresh sugar cane juice, the bad taste of youth will improve after drinking. Taste
Barley sugar, dough, aloe vera, winery’s signature cane syrup, and mint are on display. Orange juice mixed with cola, dried apple, rosin, barley sugar, young fruit, high sugar and high bitterness, and lemon peel in the middle and back shows some bitterness, with a slight bubble feeling. The wine is weak, the oily feeling is medium and strong, heavy sweet and sour, slightly bitter, the astringency is finished, the finish is obvious, and the wine body is irritating and not round.

Finish
Bubble, mint, slightly scorched, pomelo peel white, long bitterness, slightly astringent, with ashes, ending with a little sweetness.
