Ichiro’s Malt & Grain Japanese. Made with both malt and grain whisky. Peach, dried apricot, sweet butterscotch and citrus zest aromas. Toffee first on the palate follows by gingerbread, tropical fruits, black pepper and fresh cut hay. Finish is medium length with vanilla and dried tropical fruit.

A blend of malt and grain whiskies vatted and mature by master distiller Ichiro Akuto at the Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan, Ichiro’s Malt and Grain is crafted to balance a heart of Japanese whisky with the complementary nuances of global whiskies. Whiskies include Scotch, Canadian rye, American whiskey, Irish whiskey, and Ichiro’s own Japanese single malts. Aromas of apricot, popcorn toffee. Meyer lemon zest, and vanilla cream transition to a lightly texture palate of toffee, roasted chestnut, and gingerbread with a peppery, honeyed finish.
Moreover. A lovely blend whisky from Japan, created by Ichiro Akuto. The Japanese whisky extraordinaire. This particular gem is made with both malt and grain whisky from Japan as well as (possibly) some whisky from other countries too – the label describes it as “a worldwide blended whisky”.
Nose
Cereals with honey over them, sage, mint, almond puree, apple chips, noticeably shoe polish behind them, later also cream candies, the well-known Chichibu banana comes along too

Banana chips, apple (70% red, 30% green), resin, honey, cereals, almonds, sweet malt, whipped cream, lemon roll, tick of candied ginger
