Caperdonich 1969 50 Year Old, This simply stunning 50 year old Speyside single malt Is laid to rest at the Caperdonich distillery on the 10th October 1969.  And then bottle by Duncan Taylor Ltd for their Rarest Collection on the 30th April 2020.

Housed in a beautiful decanter and complete with sign COA and exclusive presentation carry case. This is one of only 88 decanter that is fill from cask number 3253 at a natural strength 47.9% ABV.

An outstanding expression of half-a-century age Scotch whisky from another of Scotland’s long-lost distilleries. The site is sadly closes in 2002 and ultimately demolish in 2011.

Independent bottler and blender Duncan Taylor have release two 1969 vintage whiskies. From close distilleries as part of its ‘Rarest of the Rare’ portfolio: Caperdonich 50 Year Old and Kinclaith 51 Year Old.

The Caperdonich distillery first operates for only four years – between 1898 and 1902 – before the distillery is mothball for approximately six decades. Production would resume again in 1965 and continue until 2002. When the distillery is shutter. And then later demolish in 2010. The Kinclaith distillery is house within the Strathclyde grain distillery complex and operates between 1957 and 1975. When it is close and later demolish to make way for an extension being build at Strathclyde.

TASTES Caperdonich 1969 50 Year Old

Ducan Taylor Caperdonich 50 Year Old is describe as exhibiting “beautifully malty and sweet” aromas. With notes of “a frothy caramel latte tops with cinnamon” on the palate and “a long-lasting finish of soft gentle warm spices and sweet toast oak notes.”

Duncan Taylor Kinclaith 51 Year Old is describe as having aromas of “fragrant sweet oak,” with “seasonal spices of clove and cinnamon” on the palate. Finishing with “beautiful structure with the cask and distillate in perfect harmony.”

Both whiskies is a limited release of less than 100 bottles worldwide and is presented in individually number. Engraves, handcraft glass decanters housed in a lockable frame box, inside a brush stainless steel carry case.
