However. Auchroisk is build in 1972 to provide malt for the J & B blends. The first single malt is release in 1986 under the Singleton brand, and the maturation process is an early example of cask-finishing. With boubon-mature malt transfers to sherry casks for a further two years ageing. This pioneering move is not highly publicise.
