    Buy Bruichladdich 1970 35 Year. This outstanding 35 year old single malt is distill at Bruichladdich in 1970 and bottle in 2006 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the iconic Islay distillery.

    Selects from a parcel of the legendary 1970 vintage, mature for 35 years in Bourbon casks and being finished in Zind. Humbrecht’s ‘Selection de Grains Noble’ Pinot Gris casks. This is just another fine bit of work from the Master Distiller himself, Jim McEwan.

    However. Bruichladdich 1970 35 Year  Bottle at a natural cask strength 40.1% ABV. This very rare bottling is limits to just 2,502 bottles worldwide and is awards an excellent 91 points on the WhiskyFun review site.

Bruichladdich hasn’t shied away from experimentation in cask management, quadruple distillation. love-it-or-hate-it presentation, and the introduction of the heavily peated Port Charlotte and (REALLY heavily peated) Octomore ranges. Oh, and they make a mean gin too.

    Owned by Invergordon Distillers from 1968 until 1993, when it joined the Whyte & Mackay portfolio. Bruichladdich closes in 1995. At the time it produces an unpeat malt primarily uses for blends. Whilst well-known for its bourbon casks release in 10, 15 and 21 year old versions.
