Benromach 1974 41 Year Old. This superb limit edition Speyside single malt is laid down at the Benromach distillery in 1974. And bottle on the 12th January 2016 after spending 41 years in single sherry butt number 1583.
First. One of only 452 bottles, this stunning golden vintage malt is bottle at a natural cask strength 49.1% ABV. And comes complete with beautiful dark oak presentation case, representing the wood of the original Benromach washbacks. Further and a hardback booklet containing a history of the famous distillery.
In addition to the Benromach distillery is built on the outskirts of the ancient town of Forres in 1898, during one of the high points in Scotch whisky-making. Over the years, the distillery goes through a succession of owners. It is temporarily mothball in 1931. And then reopens six years later, and finally shutters in 1983 with a few barrels of its precious single malt whiskies still sequestering within the warehouse. Benromach 1974 41 Year Old
However, Coming from what is now the smallest distillery in Speyside. Consequently this golden amber liquid is indicative of the older Benromach style. Equally important with a delicate peat character and earthy tones of heather, dried fruit, and a touch of citrus.
